Fellow Radio icon, Jim Slade, known to many in Australia, had his farewell event recently at a venue now known as "The Brit". Tommy Kaye was the compare and was able to quieten the hundreds that came along to see Jim, enough to ask him questions about his life on radio and THAT time when The Beatles came to Adelaide and where Jim got to meet and interview them. Congratulations Jim on a life on radio spanning more than 50 years!

The lost years
Since "Retiring" in 2020, Tommy Kaye has moved into the country and now resides peacefully alongside the river where he was born. RadioKSA server has been relocated into New Zealand which has made life much easier. The station continues to attract listeners around the world! The dulcet tones of Tommy Kaye are still being heard - although these days more as a commercial voice, helping pay for his retirement hobbies.
